It’s Time to Repack Your Bags
I recently undertook a journey that necessitated air travel to reach my destination. Those familiar with me or who have traveled alongside me are aware that I tend to carry an extensive amount of luggage. During the check-in process for my flight, I was requested to place my bags on the scale for weighing.
I was unexpectedly informed that my luggage exceeded the permitted limits for both quantity and weight. Consequently, I was advised that I would need to pay additional fees based on the weight of each bag. I was further surprised to learn that the total fee would be approximately $100, which is nearly half the cost of my airline ticket.
As you may have guessed, I was not particularly pleased with the situation. I found myself questioning, “Why was I not informed about the additional fees for extra baggage?” However, I have emerged from this experience with valuable insights. Moving forward, I am committed to traveling light, particularly when it comes to air travel.
I would like to pose a question for your consideration: Are you traveling light? In my personal experience, as I elevate my journey toward fulfilling my divine purpose and destiny, I have come to realize that there are certain things I must leave behind.
It is essential to relinquish these items, as retaining them could incur significant costs. While this may seem straightforward, it is often more challenging in practice. The belongings I wish to keep provide a sense of security and comfort, despite the fact that I may have outgrown them.
How do you feel about your current circumstances? Do you have a sense that God is calling you to a higher purpose, yet find yourself hindered by various burdens? If this resonates with you, I would like to encourage you to reassess your situation and lighten your load. In this new season, there are opportunities to let go of certain elements that may no longer serve you. Below is a list of several considerations for what you might choose to unpack:
- Financial and emotional debt
- Limiting mindsets and beliefs
- Fruitless paradigms
- Negative associations the impede your growth
- Career or business paths that lead no where
- Business processes and procedures that don’t work
- Outdated spiritual connections
- Non-productive habits and behaviors
- Harmful soul ties
- No vision
